The Role
As a Bank Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people, helping them feel safe, valued, and empowered.
Key responsibilities:
• Support children in daily routines and activities
• Build positive, trusting relationships
• Promote emotional wellbeing and resilience
• Provide a safe, calm, and structured home environment
• Work effectively during challenging situations
• Maintain accurate records and reports
• Collaborate with the wider care team to achieve positive outcomes
Requirements
Essential:
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Enhanced DBS certificate
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Passion for supporting children and young people
Desirable:
• QCF Level 3 Children and Young People’s Workforce qualification
• Previous residential childcare or support work experience
