This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and respected organisation operating at the intersection of consumer fairness, business services and public policy.
We are seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Head of Marketing to lead the next phase of growth across The Ombuds Group. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for driving brand awareness, lead generation, pipeline growth and market engagement across multiple business areas.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering a modern marketing strategy that supports revenue growth, strengthens market presence and enhances stakeholder engagement.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver the overall B2B marketing strategy across The Ombuds Group aligned to commercial priorities and growth objectives.
- Drive qualified lead generation and pipeline growth for Consumer Friend training services, Ombudsman membership growth and wider Group opportunities.
- Build targeted campaigns to attract and engage organisations across retail, business services, public sector and regulated markets.
- Own and manage the Group’s content strategy, including thought leadership, case studies, PR, website content and business communications.
- Lead the planning and delivery of events including roundtables, webinars, hosted forums, exhibitions and government engagement activity.
- Manage digital demand generation activity including LinkedIn, email marketing, website optimisation, SEO and paid campaigns where appropriate.
- Work closely with senior leadership, sales and business development teams to ensure marketing activity supports commercial targets.
- Develop marketing reporting dashboards covering campaign performance, lead quality, conversion rates, ROI and market insights.
- Manage external suppliers, agencies and marketing budgets effectively.
- Build and lead a high-performing marketing function with clear objectives and accountability.
- Protect and enhance brand reputation through high quality, ethical and accurate communications.

- Proven success in a senior B2B marketing leadership role.
- Strong track record of delivering lead generation, pipeline growth and measurable ROI.
- Commercially minded with the ability to translate strategy into action and results.
- Excellent communication and content creation skills.
- Strong digital marketing capability including CRM, automation platforms and campaign analytics.
- Experience of events marketing and stakeholder engagement.
- Confident presenting to executive stakeholders and influencing at senior level.
- Highly organised with strong prioritisation skills.
- Data-led decision maker with strong reporting capability.
- Hands-on, proactive and adaptable approach.
- Experience within professional services, training, compliance, membership or regulated sectors would be advantageous.
