Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced Adult Social Worker to join its client’s Older People with Dementia Team, based at Newcastle.
What will your responsibilities be?
In this role, you will:
- Complete dementia‑focused assessments under the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act, identifying needs, risks, strengths and support networks for older adults living with cognitive impairment
- Develop person‑centred care and support plans that promote safety, independence and wellbeing, working closely with carers, health professionals and community services
- Respond to safeguarding concerns involving adults at risk, applying Making Safeguarding Personal principles and ensuring proportionate, multi‑agency intervention
Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree or equivalent)
- Registration with Social Work England
- Experience working with older people, including dementia and complex needs
- Sound knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding legislation
