IT Trust Manager, based on-site Slough
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum

CTS are looking for an IT Trust Manager to be based across the sites for one of our Academy Trust customers.

Key tasks and Responsibilities:
Service Delivery & Leadership
- Ensure a consistent, high-quality IT support service across all trust sites.
- Act as the lead for onsite IT services, providing advanced troubleshooting and acting as an escalation point.
- Manage, mentor and develop the onsite IT support team, including workload prioritisation and performance oversight.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Act as the primary liaison between the trust, CTS Account Managers, senior engineers and leadership teams.
- Provide specialist advice and technical guidance to clients and stakeholders.
- Communicate technical information clearly to a range of audiences.
IT Strategy & Continuous Improvement
- Support planning, development and continuous improvement of IT systems and learning facilities.
- Identify system improvements and contribute to long-term IT strategies.
- Analyse support data and produce reports to inform service development.
Technical Delivery & Infrastructure
- Manage and maintain IT infrastructure including networks, servers, cloud platforms and end-user devices.
- Support and administer Active Directory, Azure AD, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
- Lead or support infrastructure design and implementation with senior engineers.
Operations & Service Management
- Ensure effective helpdesk management, ticket resolution and SLA adherence.
- Monitor system performance, run diagnostics and maintain asset and inventory records.
- Follow and implement disaster recovery, backup and security procedures.
Projects & Implementation
- Lead and support IT projects, including school holiday deployments.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of project outcomes.
- Support equipment rollout, testing and lifecycle processes.
Compliance, Security & Governance
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, data protection (GDPR), health & safety and security policies.
- Maintain robust IT security, backup and malware protection systems.
- Ensure proper asset disposal and regulatory compliance (e.g. WEEE).
General Responsibilities
- Provide regular reporting on IT service performance.
- Participate in trust working groups and contribute to organisational objectives.
- Undertake additional duties as required, including occasional out-of-hours work.
Qualifications & Certifications
GCSE - Grade 5+ in Maths and English or equivalent
Relevant A-Level, BTEC, NVQ or T-Level qualification
Industry certifications (e.g. Microsoft, Cisco, Aruba, Apple) – desirable
Technical Knowledge & Skills
Strong understanding of wired and wireless networks and devices
Proven troubleshooting and problem management capabilities
3–4 years’ progressive experience in an IT support environment
Experience within the education sector – desirable

Due to the nature of this role involving visiting education establishments successful applicants are required to provide an enhanced DBS disclosure. Disclosure expense will be met by CTS.
