About the role:
Here at Central Bedfordshire Council, we have exciting plans to continue to shape how we work with families and their children. Having recently launched a new dedicated Corporate Parenting Service, we are looking to recruit Social Workers who want to work in a service that is highly ambitious for all of our children and young people. During a focused visit, Ofsted recognised Central Bedfordshire’s values of placing children and young people at the centre of all that we do by working with children and their parents.
As Corporate Parents, we ensure meaningful engagement with children and young people and we stick with them, so that they reach their aspirations and go on to succeed in adulthood, living successful, independent lives.
Relationship based practice sits at the core of everything we do by working with children, families and their natural networks to build on their strengths. Our workforce told Ofsted that they enjoy working for Central Bedfordshire and feel well supported by visible and caring managers and senior leaders. Ofsted also recognised the level of support available through a wide range of relevant training and development opportunities which help our practitioners undertake reflective and effective quality work with children and their families and networks.
We are so proud of our workforce and their dedication to our Children in Care - if you are passionate, creative and committed to achieving outstanding outcomes, we want to hear from you!

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of passionate and committed practitioners who recognise that our Children in Care are at the heart of everything we do.
We are able to provide you with:
