Offering a £35,000 base salary plus full, funded Salesforce training and official accreditation, this permanent role is designed specifically for someone with 1+ years of experience in IT Support or Application Support who wants to step away from broad IT firefighting and retrain into a highly valued Salesforce Specialist.
You do not need prior Salesforce experience to apply for this role. Working directly as the sole assistant to the IT Manager, you will inherit a modern cloud infrastructure for 120 users across 5 locations. Because the core network and desktop environments are fully managed by an external Managed Service Provider (MSP), standard IT troubleshooting is minimal and will only take up about 30% of your time. The remaining 70% will be dedicated to mastering the Salesforce ecosystem, with the company fully funding your training courses, learning pathways, and official certification exams from day one.
This is a full-time, office-based role (5 days a week in Altrincham, with occasional travel to other UK sites) requiring a solid technical foundation. While the company will happily provide a pathway into coding and development later if you choose, Salesforce is heavily focused on intuitive 'No-Code / Low-Code' visual tools-meaning you can deliver massive business impact and secure prestigious qualifications without needing a software engineering background.
Key Responsibilities
Working collaboratively alongside the IT Manager, you will support the business across both its core infrastructure and its primary software platform. Nothing here is your sole responsibility from day one; instead, you will work as a team to assist with:
Salesforce & Business Systems (Approx. 70%)
User & Security Management: Assisting with user management, setting up new starters, and managing security and permissions.
Configuration & Automation: Supporting Salesforce configuration, customization, automation, and continuous business process improvement.
Data & Insights: Helping with daily data management alongside building reports and dashboards for the business.
System Evolution: Assisting with change management, platform deployments, and general system maintenance.
Ecosystem Support: Helping manage third-party apps, integration support, and creating user documentation and training materials.
Internal IT Support (Approx. 30%)
On-Site Troubleshooting: Providing basic IT troubleshooting and hands-on, on-site user support for the Altrincham team.
Application Support: Handling day-to-day user support and software troubleshooting that sits outside the remit of the external MSP.
What You Bring
