Liquid Personnel is recruiting experienced Social Workers – Children's Services for a range of opportunities across South Wales. Positions are available within several frontline Children's Services teams, including CASP, Child Protection, Pre-Proceedings (PLO), Court, and Intake and Locality (Long-Term) teams.
In these roles, you will support children and families involved in child protection plans, pre-proceedings, and court processes, helping to safeguard children and improve outcomes for families. Working in accordance with the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014 and the Wales Safeguarding Procedures, you will take a strengths-based, child-focused approach while working in partnership with families and multi-agency professionals to achieve positive and lasting outcomes for children and young people.
You will be joining experienced and supportive teams led by established Team Managers and Principal Social Workers who are committed to professional development. Regular monthly supervision, ongoing learning opportunities, and a flexible hybrid working model are available, alongside a collaborative team culture that values professional support and development.
What will your responsibilities be?
- Managing a caseload of children, young people, and families.
- Undertaking assessments, care planning, and safeguarding interventions.
- Supporting children subject to Child Protection Plans and Children in Need Plans.
- Working with families involved in pre-proceedings (PLO) and court processes.
- Completing statutory visits, assessments, and reviews.
- Preparing high-quality reports for court, conferences, and review meetings.
- Working collaboratively with partner agencies, education providers, health professionals, and legal services.
- Contributing to positive safeguarding outcomes through effective risk assessment and care planning.
- Maintaining accurate and timely case records in line with statutory requirements and local authority procedures.

Essential Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Degree in Social Work (or equivalent recognised qualification).
- Registration with Social Care Wales.
- A minimum of three years' experience within a Children's Social Work setting.
- Relevant post-qualified Social Work experience.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
- Right to work in the UK.
