SQL Analyst Developer - Hedge Fund - Data warehouse- Trades, positions, P&L, SQL, testing
You will be an integral part of the team, responsible for helping to evolve and support our Data Service, BI architecture, and tools. We are building a new regulatory component and we are looking for a Data Analyst/Programmer to work in partnership with developers, architects and our business and technology partners to gather, analyze and implement business requirements.
Principal Responsibilities
- Collaboration with Developers
- Partner with developers to build new data feeds and migrate existing data.
- It is expected that you will also creating SQL scripts and stored procedures as part of the complete solution
- Solution Delivery
- Delivery-Oriented Mindset, engage with various teams to create solutions that handle large volumes of data.
- Testing and Validation
- Support testing processes and validate solutions to ensure quality.
- Assist in configuring test automation tools and validate solutions.
Qualifications/Skills Required
- Preferred experience with investment banking datasets, such as Trades, Positions, P&L, and Reference Data.
- Strong SQL Skills, Proficiency in SQL and experience working with large datasets
- Optimize database performance by analysing query execution plans, index tuning, and database normalization
- Utilize window functions to perform advanced analytical operations, such as ranking, partitioning, and aggregating data
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues
- Exposure to AWS Data Warehousing
Inside IR35 - Victoria based - hedge fund client - 4/5 days a week in the office.
