We’re Hiring: IT Manager

At GBUK, we’re continuing to grow, and with that, comes the need for strong, forward-thinking infrastructure to support our people, customers, and future ambitions.

We’re looking for an IT Manager who can take ownership of our group-wide IT function, driving both operational excellence and strategic development across our business.

You’ll play a key role in shaping how IT enables the business; leading projects, strengthening cyber security, and ensuring our systems evolve alongside our growth.

From managing infrastructure across multiple sites to delivering future-focused IT strategy, this is a hands-on leadership role with real impact.

What you’ll be doing

Leading IT across GBUK, ensuring a reliable and efficient environment
Driving strategic IT projects that support business growth
Managing and developing relationships with third-party IT service providers
Overseeing network, server, and cloud-based infrastructure
Strengthening cyber security and delivering staff training
Developing and testing business continuity and disaster recovery plans
Managing IT budgets, forecasting, and cost control
Creating and embedding IT policies, processes, and best practice
Supporting, managing and developing your team
Providing guidance to your direct reports on day-to-day and escalated issues

What we’re looking for

Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure (networks, servers, end-user environments)
A presence in the office, just outside Selby, at least 3 days per week
Experience across on-premise and cloud-based systems (Microsoft 365, SharePoint)
Proven track record of delivering IT projects
Experience working with Managed Service Providers
Confident communicator, able to engage stakeholders across the business
A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong organisational skills

It would be great if you also have…

Experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or similar environment
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics, Business Central or MS SQL
Experience with Power Apps or asset management systems
Understanding of GDPR and data security best practices
