About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or someone at the start of their marketing career to gain hands-on experience supporting the delivery of large-scale industry events and conferences.
As an Events & Marketing Assistant, you will play a key role in coordinating event logistics, supporting event operations, contributing to marketing activity, and helping ensure a smooth experience for attendees, speakers, and internal teams. You’ll also support social media content for events and wider marketing initiatives.
This role offers fantastic exposure to event marketing, digital marketing, social media, and cross-functional collaboration, making it an ideal first step into a marketing career.
What You’ll Be Doing
Social Media & Event Promotion
- Support LinkedIn content related to events, sponsorships, and speaking slots
- Assist with pre-event promotional posts
- Create post-event “wrap-up” social content
- Use Figma and LinkedIn to support content creation
Event & Team Logistics
- Coordinate hotel room bookings, including managing room blocks
- Maintain accurate tracking of hotel allocations and attendee numbers
- Support group transport coordination (buses, shared Ubers, etc.) based on flight schedules
- Assist with venue logistics including food & beverage selection
- Support evening event planning (venues, transport, app/microsite info and customer comms)
- Arrange restaurant bookings for customer networking events
Registration & Attendee Management
- Maintain and update the master registration spreadsheet using CrowdComms data
- Create and manage name badge files for printing
- Print and order name badges
- Track attendance requirements with the Event Marketing Lead
- Register internal team members for events as required
Event Materials, Merchandise & Gifting
- Lead the branded shirt project for the customer conference end-to-end:
- Liaise with designers on multiple design options
- Source vendors across the UK, US and Austria
- Determine quantities and size breakdowns
- Plan and manage event distribution
- Source and organise event merchandise and giveaways (e.g. pens, stickers, flight tags)
- Manage merchandise orders and shipment to venues
- Source speaker gifts and competition prizes
- Coordinate lanyard design and ordering, including colour-coding by product track
Presentations & Content Support
- Update team training decks from previous years
- Format customer contest presentations using branded templates
- Finalise presentation decks (ordering, formatting, title and connector slides)
- Ensure deck flow aligns with the event running order
Industry Events & Booth Support
- Support booth and furniture orders
- Ensure business cards, marketing collateral and materials are supplied

- Confidence managing spreadsheets and keeping information accurate
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- A genuine interest in events, marketing or communications
