Therole:

TheLead,Financial Reporting and TechnicalAccountingis a key part of theGlobal Financial Reporting and Accounting Team, supporting quarterly and annual reporting,including the preparation of the Group financial statementsin accordance withIFRS. The role hasafocus ontechnical accountingtopics, supporting themaintenance ofaccounting policiesandpreparing accounting memos on complex and large transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

Take a leading role in the preparation process of the Annual Financial Statements of the Chanel Limited Group, in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (“IFRS”), within our financial statement reporting tool.

Preparation of footnote disclosures (e.g. financial instruments, business combinations,intangibles,etc.).

Perform selectdatavalidationsonquarterly reportingwithin our group reporting tool, FCCS.

Preparation ofanalytical reviewcommentaryof key balance sheet and P&L reporting lines.

Preparation of select consolidation journal entries for the year-end audit and quarterly reporting (Q2, Q3 and Q4).

Support the annual goodwill and impairment process, includingWACC calculations, compiling impairmentmemosanddraftingthe related disclosures.

Research and compose technicalaccountingpapers for complex accounting transactionssuch as business combinations,derivatives,hedgingand ad hoctopics.

Support onaligningconclusionswith the Group auditorsaround the accounting of complex transactions ona timelymanner.

Ensure the impact of new and existing IFRS/IAS developments is understood,supporting on the implementation of IFRS 18.

Provide guidance to the global finance community (including markets, regions, and divisional teams) on accounting and reporting matters.

Maintainaccounting policies and procedures in conformity with IFRS, Chanel reporting requirements, and best practices. Support the adherence to these policies.

Perform ad hoc analyses and work on special projects for management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Qualified (ACA or equivalent) accountant with minimum 2 years of PQE in a similar Group accounting role.Big 4 backgroundpreferred.

Detailed understanding of international accounting and reporting standards (particularly IAS 36, IFRS 3, IFRS 9).

Good understanding of multicurrency complex consolidation.

Organised, analytical,curiousand detail-oriented,with a questioning mindsetto pre-empt questions on complex topics.

Strong communicationskills (written, verbal and presentation) to summarise and explain complex technical accounting issues succinctly.

Committed to continuous improvement and development of Group’s accounting policies and training.

Team player with experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders, resilient and able to respond constructively to challenge and change.

Ability to work independently within a team in a multi-task environment.

Proficiencyin Microsoft Office applications (Excel,Wordand PowerPoint).

Experience withFCCS,TM1 and Essbase would beadvantageous.
