Purpose of the role
As the company is developing rapidly, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented management accountant to join our finance team. This hybrid role bridges core financial accounting with forward-looking financial planning and analysis. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable managing the month-end close, supporting audits as they are delivering actionable financial insights to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Accounting & Reporting:
- Support the month-end close process, together with finance manager and another management accountant on the team to produce monthly management accounts and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Preparation of P&L, balance sheet, working capital and cashflow reports.
- Assist with preparation of statutory financial statements and regulatory filings.
- Support external audit process by preparing schedules, responding to queries, and ensuring audit readiness.
- Maintain strong internal controls and assist in improving financial processes and systems.
- Ad hoc to support leadership
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, ACA, ACCA or CIMA is a plus
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role involving both accounting and FP&A responsibilities
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Advanced Excel skills, experience with ERP and FP&A tools (e.g. Dynamic 365, OneStream, Power BI) is highly desirable
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to details and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
