Job Purpose
Work as part of the Finance team to support the company’s accounting operations, financial controls, and payment processes. This role supports the Senior Accountant with reconciliations, credit control, reporting, and day-to-day finance administration across the business.
This is a 6-month fixed-term maternity cover position based in Greenwich.

Job Responsibilities and Tasks
This is a varied role supporting the Finance team with operational and administrative tasks, including:
Reconciling PonchoPay childcare voucher payments and GoCardless instalment payments (training provided).
Reconciling accounts within Xero and accurately allocating expenditure and income.
Monitoring art assistant engagement and ensuring pay is processed correctly.
Tracking art material spend against budgets.
Checking refund requests and expense claims are processed in line with company policy.
Scheduling invoice payments and monitoring outstanding customer payments.
Producing weekly reports on outstanding receivables.
Liaising with utility companies and suppliers where required.
Supporting the Senior Accountant and wider office team with ad hoc finance and operational tasks.
Systems Used
Formal Qualifications
A-Level Maths (Grade A preferred) or equivalent evidence of strong numerical ability.
A numerically based degree (2:1 or above preferred).
Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
Experience using Xero is desirable.
Experience
Experience in a finance, accounts, bookkeeping, or administrative role is desirable.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment would be beneficial.
