Dover Truck Stop are looking for the right person to join our professional catering team. We are seeking someone to serve customers with quality food and drinks in our restaurant. General cleaning of the restaurant and facilities is also involved, as well as assisting the Chefs, Head Chef and General Manager as required with the running, development and profitability of the restaurant.
Key job responsibilities include:
- Welcoming customers and taking/serving orders with food and alcohol as appropriate
- Maintaining a professional and friendly atmosphere and promote the restaurant with excellent customer service
- Managing the till float and cashing up
- Ensuring that hygiene practices, processes and rules are followed at all times, including daily, weekly and deep cleaning schedules of the restaurant areas
- Actively upselling products to offer customers choice and increase profitability
- Assisting with the restaurant opening and closing procedures and practices
- To ensure quality, uniformity and consistency are delivered to the customers
- Any other jobs or tasks as required
Working 5 days out of 7, 6 hours per day, to cover the following shifts (on rotation):
- Early shift (Mon to Sat) - 6.30am to 12.30pm
- Early shift (Sun) – 8am to 2pm
- Mid shift (Mon to Sun) – 12pm to 6pm
- Late shift (Mon to Sun) – 4pm to 10pm
Candidates must be able to work all shifts on rotation
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 30 per week
Pay: £12.75 per hour
