About the Team:
Neighbourhood Housing Management Team provides a frontline housing management service to Lambeth tenants, leaseholders and other stakeholders involving casework, the investigation and resolution of service requests, enquiries, complaints and disputes.
About the Role:
This is a key leadership role where you’ll manage a team of Housing Officers and take responsibility for delivering a high-quality neighbourhood housing service.
You’ll lead from the front, supporting your team to manage a wide range of housing management issues, while also providing the technical advice and guidance they need to deal with more complex cases.
You will oversee the day-to-day delivery of housing management services, including:
Tenancy management (transfers, successions, assignments and mutual exchanges)
Managing estate services such as cleaning, grounds maintenance, and waste
Delivering estate improvements (e.g. lighting, parking, cycle storage)
Reducing fire risks in communal areas
Resident engagement and handling complex customer issues
Supporting vulnerable residents
Dealing with repairs-related enquiries.
You’ll also be responsible for driving performance, making sure services are delivered to a high standard and continuously improving.
What we’re looking for:
Strong leadership and team management skills
Experience of delivering housing management services
Ability to provide practical and technical advice to staff on complex housing issues
Confidence managing performance, setting standards and driving improvement
A strong customer focus and ability to work with residents and partners.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading teams, solving problems, and making sure services work well for residents.
