We are recruiting for a School Catering Assistant to work within a busy primary school in Bognor Regis.
This is a daytime, Monday-to-Friday position supporting the school kitchen team with the preparation and service of meals to pupils and staff. There is a possible opportunity for the position to become permanent for the right candidate.
Duties
- Assisting with the preparation of school meals
- Serving meals to pupils and staff
- Setting up dining and service areas
- Supporting the kitchen team during lunch service
- Washing up and cleaning kitchen equipment
- Cleaning work surfaces, kitchen and dining areas
- Following food hygiene and allergen procedures
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Requirements
Food Safety Level 2 certificate – essentialAllergen Awareness certificate – essentialEnhanced DBS requiredPrevious catering, kitchen or school-meals experience preferredGood understanding of food hygiene standardsReliable and punctualComfortable working within a school environmentAble to work Monday to Friday
