Responsibilities

Supervise and support foster carers to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to children.
Conduct assessments and home visits to evaluate foster carers’ suitability and ongoing performance.
Provide training, guidance, and emotional support to foster carers to enhance their skills and confidence.
Prepare and maintain comprehensive case records and reports in compliance with regulatory standards.
Work collaboratively with social workers, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to promote the best interests of the child.
Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and child protection procedures at all times.
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to care planning and review processes.

Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Proven experience in supervising foster carers and working within child welfare or fostering services.
Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding policies affecting children and families.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage a caseload effectively and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
