Responsibilities
- Supervise and support foster carers to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to children.
- Conduct assessments and home visits to evaluate foster carers’ suitability and ongoing performance.
- Provide training, guidance, and emotional support to foster carers to enhance their skills and confidence.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive case records and reports in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Work collaboratively with social workers, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to promote the best interests of the child.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and child protection procedures at all times.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to care planning and review processes.
- Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Proven experience in supervising foster carers and working within child welfare or fostering services.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding policies affecting children and families.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
