About Aion Silicon
At Aion Silicon, we’re building a collaborative, high-performing global team — and we’re looking for an enthusiastic IT Support Technician to help keep our people connected, supported and productive.
This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, supporting colleagues and building strong relationships across the business. You’ll be the first point of contact for day-to-day IT support, helping users with accounts, hardware, software and networking queries, while also gaining exposure to systems administration, device management, monitoring and documentation.
The Role
As our IT Support Technician, you’ll play an important part in delivering a responsive and reliable IT service across the business. You’ll support service desk activity, troubleshoot technical issues, assist with onboarding and offboarding, and help ensure our systems, devices and documentation remain well managed.
This is a great opportunity for someone with early IT support experience who is keen to develop their technical skills and grow within a global IT environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
Carrying out daily service desk ticket triage, routing issues appropriately and following up with users to confirm resolution.
Acting as the first point of contact for ad hoc IT support requests, including display issues, software glitches and general troubleshooting.
Supporting onboarding and offboarding activity, including password and MFA resets and group membership changes.
Troubleshooting login issues and basic remote-access connectivity problems.
Preparing laptops for reissue and managing hardware repair tickets from start to finish.
Supporting end-user hardware and software issues, including printers, scanners and application failures.
Contributing to device management, patching, backup, storage and monitoring checks.
Helping manage remote access / VDI alongside the wider IT team.
Supporting email security reviews and day-to-day security and compliance monitoring, escalating findings where needed.
Maintaining asset and inventory tracking, as well as keeping IT documentation and user guides up to date.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is proactive, approachable and comfortable supporting colleagues across different levels of technical understanding.
You’ll bring:
Equivalent practical experience in an IT support role.
Around 1–3 years’ experience in IT support, including troubleshooting hardware, software and networking issues.
Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
Strong problem-solving skills and good attention to detail.
The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
A collaborative, reliable and self-motivated approach.
Strong organisation skills and the ability to respond quickly to changing priorities.
Nice to Have
The following would be beneficial, but not essential:
A degree in a related field such as computer science, information technology or engineering.
Certifications in areas such as network administration or cybersecurity.
Familiarity with device management and endpoint security tools.
An interest in systems administration and a desire to grow into more advanced technical work.
Awareness of cybersecurity best practice.
Who You’ll Work With
You’ll report into the Head of IT (Global) and work closely with colleagues across the business, as well as senior members of the IT team. You’ll also liaise with vendors and third-party providers for hardware, software and IT services where required.
About You
You’ll be someone who enjoys helping others, takes pride in delivering a high standard of support and can build trust through clear, open communication. You’ll be resilient, positive and comfortable working under your own initiative, while also being a strong team player who collaborates effectively across the business
