We are looking for a Senior Social Worker to support us to deliver our vision of supporting people to achieve what matters to them, living independently in a place they call home.

You will support adults with mental health needs through strengths-based, person-centred social work. You will work closely with health and partner agencies to promote recovery, reduce delays, support safe transitions and help people achieve the outcomes that matter to them. This role requires confident decision-making, risk management, and the ability to support and guide Social Workers.
This role welcomes Approved Mental Health Practitioner to apply, however we will support you to qualify as an Approved Mental Health Practitioner, following qualification you will work on our AMHP rota.

Local Government Reorganisation
The Government has confirmed that local government across Lancashire will be reorganised, with the current 15 councils being replaced by four new unitary councils covering North, South, East and West Lancashire from April 2028.
If you are successful in your application, you will initially join Lancashire County Council. However, as part of the planned transition, your employment will transfer to one of the new unitary councils from April 2028, subject to the implementation of the reorganisation and relevant employment legislation.
